Our Team

Ryan Grove

Ryan spent most of his life in Montana and Alaska before coming to Wyoming in 2020 to work as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant with the Sublette Country Rural Health District. He has a passion for public land and outdoor recreation and has been mountain biking for 10+ years. He is very excited to be living permanently in Sublette County and experience all the outdoor recreation that the surrounding area has to offer.

Mike Stauthamer

Mike, originally from Denver, CO, arrived in Sublette County in 2013 after spending 5 years in Panama. He quickly adapted to a life of eating mangos and swinging in trees with monkeys to a life of shredding gnar in the winter and loam in the summer. You're also likely to catch him backpacking with his wife Michelle and pup Lilly. When not enjoying all that Pinedale and the surrounding area has to offer, he works as a Project Scientist/Manager for Stantec Consulting remediating soil and groundwater with the ferocity of a shrew.

Paul Swenson

Paul has been a resident of Sublette County for 8 years. He considers Sublette County his home, where he’s from and is proud to be a resident. He’s an avid skier and mountain biker and relishes what Sublette County has to offer for these recreational opportunities. Not only does he appreciate these opportunities our county has to offer, he also has a passion to give those same experiences to his sons and other youth. He feels we are fortunate to have these resources and does not take any of it for granted. He wants to dedicate his time to ensure the next generations have the same opportunities we all do.

Vanessa Rathbone

Vanessa is a New England native, but moved out west in 2008 to explore more public lands and pursue her love of the outdoors and adventure. She’s lived in Wyoming, Montana and Colorado where she worked in sustainable agriculture, food start-ups, outdoor education, and brand strategy and communications. She is currently a conservation planning scientist at Wildlife Conservation Society. Over the past few years, she’s worked remotely in Pinedale and with the National Parks Service throughout the Greater Yellowstone Area and has a deep love and respect for public lands. She loves mountain biking, skiing...and beating the boys up hills!

Alex Artz

Alex grew up in South Central Nebraska on a family farm, and moved to Pinedale in 2016 with his wife Jessica. He spends his time biking, backpacking, split-boarding, snowboarding and enjoying the wilderness and solitude that Sublette County has to offer.

Brenda Hanley

Born and raised in the Intermountain west, Brenda is a lifelong mountain fanatic. She’s excited to help STA make trails accessible to fellow lovers of wild places. When not messing about in the woods with her doggies, she does stats for wildlife researchers.

Tim Hunzie

Born and raised in Western Wyoming, Tim has spent his life exploring the public lands this state has to offer. Since 2017, he has been working as a pharmacist. When he hangs up the white coat, he enjoys exploring the mountains with his dog and friends. His deep roots in Wyoming have lead to a strong love for the area and a passion to see it used responsibly while bringing that same happiness and passion to others.

Matt Gaffney

Matt's main priority is not hurting himself on his bike. His second priority is more flowy, buffed out single track in Sublette County. Originally from Northern California (don't judge) he spent four years in the U.S. Army falling out of airplanes and walking around in the dark. He found his way to the Equality State to attend law school at the University of Wyoming and has lived in Pinedale since 2010. He thinks everyone can benefit from being on the trail more and envisions the day when his backyard is a shred paradise.

Kayla Hunzie

Kayla, born and raised in Kemmerer, is committed to creating memories through adventures in the great outdoors. Although she has lived all across the country - she is thrilled to be in Pinedale where she spends her free time enjoying the access to amazing public lands, mountain biking, skiing, and cold beers after! She is also known to enjoy some funky music, bring the dance moves, and ensure everyone feels welcome and has a good time! She loves outdoor recreation and wants to help preserve it (or even leave it better!) for the next generations!
